Peter Daniel serves as General Counsel to Lathrop GPM, where he focuses on professional responsibility, conflicts, risk and loss management, and managing other firm-related legal matters coordinated through the office of general counsel.

For the past 15 years, Peter has advised lawyers on ethical issues and duties including responding to subpoenas, preparation for testimony and avoiding malpractice.

Prior to his role as General Counsel to the firm, Peter practiced in the fields of product liability, professional liability, premises liability, transportation litigation, toxic tort, personal injury, wrongful death and commercial litigation. He worked on cases involving an extensive and eclectic variety of products throughout the Midwest and on both coasts.

Peter is an avid outdoor activity enthusiast and enjoys cycling, beekeeping, and backpacking/hiking; some of his favorite backpacking and hiking experiences include Peru, Colorado and Kauai.
